چکیده

The workflow of enterprises usually involves the integration of multiple applications from various systems. To lower the difficulty of integration, Enterprise Integration Patterns could be helpful. Each pattern poses a specific design problem, discusses the considerations surrounding the problem, and presents an elegant solution that balances the various forces. The BPEL language is used to model the workflows. The objective of the thesis is to the find BPEL representation of several EAI patterns, also with the help of Web services. For this purpose, features of the EAI patterns are investigated and the patterns are parameterized. An editor was already developed to support combining some EAI patterns to a messaging system and generating BPEL out of it. By extending the editor we are able to generate BPEL files for more patterns, which can be deployed and executed on the ActiveBPEL engine.

Towards a Formalization of System Requirements for an Integrated Clinical Environment

Interoperability of medical devices, and their interface to clinicians and patients, are critical issues for the safety and effectiveness of patient care. Ongoing efforts strive at establishing standards for integrated clinical environments, which may connect and co-ordinate several medical devices and interface them to patients, clinicians, and hospital information systems. In this paper, an a...

Maude Based Patterns for Mobile Agents Itineraries

Mobile agent based systems are so complex that the usage of formal tools for simulation and prototyping to facilitate the modelling of such systems is of great interest. Improved methods are needed to insure their correctness. In particular predefined patterns seems to give suitable solution to deal with complexity of formal methods and to enable reusability and consistency. In another hand exe...

Notos: efficient emulation of wireless sensor networks with binary-to-source translation

Developing for wireless sensor networks is a challenging task due to the severe resource constraints of the devices, the uncertainties of the environment, and the distributed nature of the system. Therefore, simulation is an essential tool for developing systems and for evaluating and comparing protocols at scale in a reproducible manner. Cycle-accurate emulation of sensor networks allows the e...

A Prototype-based Approach to Meta-Modeling using SELF

The activities of system modeling and system implementation have traditionally been viewed as two distinct entities owning to the purported differences between modeling languages and programming languages. We however feel that with raised abstractions of programming languages and executable capabilities of modeling languages, these differences are no more distinct. Based on this argument, in ou...

Reliability Analysis with Dynamic Reliability Block Diagrams in the Möbius Modeling Tool

Reliability block diagram (RBD) models are a commonly used reliability analysis method. For static RBD models, combinatorial solution techniques are easy and efficient. However, static RBDs are limited in their ability to express varying system state, dependent events, and non-series-parallel topologies. A recent extension to RBDs, called Dynamic Reliability Block Diagrams (DRBD), has eliminate...
